The CAPPA centre and Shannon ABC invites you to a 1/2 day seminar on Innovation and Funding support for Industry and Small Business.

WHEN: Tuesday 5th September 2017

WHERE: Questum Centre Clonmel Co Tipperary

TIME:  09:30 - 12:30

On the day you will hear about the range of state funding initiatives available to assist companies with R&D activities, examples of collaborative projects utilising some of these schemes and the range of expertise available from the Technology Gateways around the country. Representatives from both centres will be available for 1-1 meetings on the day after the seminar finishes if you would like to discuss a potential project or require additional advice.

Last night QUESTUM hosted a very well attended reception for the launch of the first ever County Tipperary Business Awards. The Awards will provide an opportunity to identify, highlight and reward companies, from start-up’s to multi-national’s, individuals and community groups that are making a difference across the County of Tipperary, for their hard work, innovation & dedication to the community & local economy in their respective fields.

Limerick Institute of Technology and QUESTUM Acceleration Centre are pleased to announce an exciting new short programme Stress Test the Business Idea. It will use the latest concepts, models and start-up thinking to ensure that participants have the practical tools with which test their business idea and those who want to refine an existing business model.

The programme is free to participants and will run in QUESTUM over 4-nights 6.00pm to 9.00pm: Tuesday 23rd, Wednesday 24th, Tuesday 30th and Wednesday 31st May

QUESTUM Acceleration Centre is pleased to announce that Pat Breen TD, Minister for Employment and Small Business, will official opening QUESTUM on Monday 17th October.

Dr Liam Brown, VP for Research Enterprise and Development LIT, will host, with speakers including Adrian Fleming founder and CEO of Accuvio, a global award winning market leader in the sustainable software sector, Siobhan Ambrose, Cathaoirleach of Tipperary County Council, Professor Vincent Cunnane, the new President of LIT.

We will also be announcing the launch of two new enterprise programmes to be run out of QUESTUM before year end.

QUESTUM were happy to attended last night’s 20th national Enterprise Awards County Competition in Brú Ború Cashel, hosted by Local Enterprise Office Tipperary. The Awards acknowledge the contribution and celebrate the success of SME’s in County Tipperary.

This year’s Awards were open to LEO supported *M1 and **M2 clients/grant beneficiaries, with the competition winners identified by an Adjudication Panel using a standard criteria and marking system. This year’s AP comprised of Mary Ryan, CPA, MIATI, Finance & Business Management Services; Martin Troy, AIB Nenagh; Jim Ryan, Clonmel – all off who sit on the LEO Tipperary Evaluation & Approvals Committee.

QUESTUM would like to congratulate PJ Moloney founder and MD of EireChrom and Conor O’Neil founder and MD of One Box Vision for their success at the Awards.

EireChrom won the Special Category Award for Research & Innovation.

One Box Vision came runner up overall in the completion and just missed out on the top spot.

The overall winner of this year’s County Tipperary Award was MediSkin, who proceed to the National Finals in the Mansion House, Dublin on Thursday 25th May 2017.

QUESTUM and its resident clients wish MediSkin all the best in representing Tipperary at the final.
